Ko'a Coral Guest Bath Collection
The Collection: This collection features a blockprinted coral hand towel, our most popular Tamanu Healing Nut Soap, and a bamboo soap dish, all tucked into a traditional Hawaiian lauhala gift basket. This tasteful collection is the perfect gift to treat yourself or someone you love--ideal for guest bathrooms.
The Lauhala Gift Basket: In Old Hawaii, the leaves or "lau" were handwoven to create functional items such as hats, canoe sails, mats and baskets. Today, Hawaiians still enjoy using lauhala baskets for gift giving.
The Towel: Cream colored tea towel/hand towel with orange Ko'a (coral) artwork. It is a Hawaiian belief that the coral animals or polyps were the first creatures to emerge in creation. Hawaii’s unique and isolated geography has allowed unique species and varieties to develop. These lovely towels would be equally at home in your kitchen or bathroom.
The Soap: This natural, Hawaiian bath and body soaps is infused with Tamanu Healing Oil. The 5oz soaps are hand poured in Maui and will gently cleanse and moisturize--and provide extra healing along with a beautifully warm and nutty fragrance.
The Soap Dish: Natural wood soap dish made from sustainable bamboo in a convenient rectangular shape. A soap dish will increase the life of any bar soap, elevating it so it doesn't sit in a pool of excess water. Product Dimensions: Size: 4 3/4” x 3 1/4” Weight: 3.5oz.
The Story: Created by artist Palapala (Barbara) Chung. Her company is based in Maui, Hawaii. Palapala designs and carves original blockprints of Hawaiian motifs and subjects, combining them with contemporary form and function. The images are flora and fauna found on the islands or subjects related to important aspects of Hawaiian culture. Palapala’s artwork is inspired by her love of Hawai’i – the ocean, the hula and the Hawaiian culture.
The Details: 20 x 28 inches, 100% cotton. Care Instructions: Machine wash warm, tumble dry medium. Do not iron directly on image.
Gifting: Each lauhala basket is finished with a ribbon. If you are gifting, and would like us to add a handwritten message on a gift tag, please leave details in the note section on checkout. And thank you for sharing the Aloha!
Sending to a Friend: We are happy to send any gift(s) directly to the recipient, but each gift needs to be a separate order so the correct shipping and shipping details are applied. There will be no pricing enclosed with the gift--just a packing slip (no prices). Mahalo for sharing the aloha!
Lei Gift Option: To make this gift even more special, consider adding a Kukui Nut Lei to this basket. This is a traditional style lei, often worn at weddings and during dance performances--and worn by both men and women. Simply add the Kukui Nut Lei to your order (only $9.50) and on checkout in the notes section, ask us to add to the basket contents.
