Once a great forest of sandalwood and koa trees, the Honua'ula district stretches from Wailea through La Perouse Bay and to Kanaio. It was here that French traveler and scientist, La Perouse, first set eyes on Maui.

Paako Cove, also known as Secret Beach in Makena, is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Hawaii. In fact, it is seldom visited, but the most popularly photographed beach in all of Hawaii.

Daniel Sullivan, an award-winning photographer based in Maui, explores the the diverse, unique landscape of breathtaking waterfalls, multicolored beaches and the rich cultural heritage of Hawaii.

"Colour plays and important role in my photography. It has the ability to engage the spirit, illuminate light and energy, and transcend the moment."  Daniel Sullvian
