The Story: Tamanu Oil or Kamani Oil (in Hawaiian) comes from the fruit kernel of the Tamanu tree, which is native to Hawaii and Southeast Asia. According to Polynesian tradition, the highest quality tamanu oil comes from the trees that grow nearest to the coast with the salty, sandy soil.
