Orders are generally shipped within 3-5 business days of receipt.  We ask our customers to please remember that our products are handcrafted and we need a bit of extra time to process orders.  Once made, all packages are shipped from our small factory in Maui, Hawaii and need a bit of extra shipping time to make its way across the ocean.

Island Essence Guarantees the workmanship on all our products. We offer returns on orders shipping to addresses within the USA. If you receive something that is damaged please notify our office immediately and return to us within 5 business days of receiving the order for a complete refund. We recommend that you inspect all merchandise immediately upon receipt.

Eco-Refill Protocol: How to refill bottles using gallons and half-gallon jugs

1. Place gallon/half gallon jugs and sterilized bottles to be refilled on a clean surface. Fill each bottle separately, one at a time. Sterilized product bottles: Make sure they are clean and dry, and then spray with isopropyl alcohol to sterilize thoroughly. (You can omit this step if you are refilling an existing product bottle with the same product - for example, refilling the original IE Lavender hand spray bottle with IE Lavender Hand Spray.)

2. Remove the pump from bottle you will be refilling and place in a clean, dry container or surface. It is important to keep your pumps clean to avoid contamination. (Take this opportunity to thoroughly clean and air-dry the pump as needed).

3. Using a gallon jug: Pump the liquid into the bottle allowing about 1.5 inches of room so that the product does not overflow when pump is inserted. Hand Spray and Oil Refills: Because these are liquid, pumps will not work. Please use a clean and dry measuring cup to dispense refills from the jugs to the original spray bottle.

4. Carefully place the pump directly back into the refilled bottle without touching the dip tube to anything.
